Hard Work Pays Off Over Time
Consistency wins. Put in the hard work and you will get the results. It might take some time, it might be bumpy, you might even get really, really pissed off along the way.
Detect your market. Plan a route to success. Become relentless by putting in the hard work required to achieve something within that market and success must come! Remain aware of opportunities and new learning that comes your way on the journey and surely you will succeed.
Of course, this is not the case if you remain working in a job which you are not the driver of your destiny. Remaining in a salaried position is a fine thing to do but no amount of harder working is going to get you otherworldly rewards other than that agreed with your boss. If you want the otherworldly stuff you will need to become the CEO of your own life. That doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to start your own company.
The first things to do are to understand what skills you will need to become the person capable of doing what your long term goal is. That might mean taking a job at some company to become efficient at certain skills. But this is all determined by what your goal is long term.
Nowadays, it is common for people to hop from job to job and gone are the days of company loyalty for the most part. Becoming an entrepreneur and backing yourself to succeed at a venture is something brave to do and won’t be for everyone. The rewards for doing it and succeeding can be exceptional. Even in a bad economy. It comes from hard work.
My friend Derek has decided to travel the world and wants to go on an exploration to grow, develop and become the greatest version of himself that he can be. He made a vlog today where he talks about every second counting and that working hard and being committed to his goals are what make him tick. His passion is infectious and it’s really admirable to watch his growth from afar, knowing that he is following his heart and doing what he needs to do to find fulfillment in life. Subscribe and follow his journey on his website here.
If you commit to the long game and learn along the way, as I am, you will win. Have patience, believe in your craft and value and punt long and win big.
Do you think all the guys killing it now in their markets didn’t work hard or do savage amounts of hours each week to get their shit together and hone their crafts? They did and then some.
We all can, so join me and go the extra bit and commit to hard work. It’s the only recipe for success. All those ‘shortcuts’ DO NOT WORK. The bling and cash on the bed crap I see on some social media channels are ridiculous. I hope the people doing that learn that it’s hard work that pays off not wads of cash signaling wealth.
